Clarkson review of 997TT

Don't get me wrong, I actually prefer Top Gear to Fifth Gear for entertainment, although I watch both as soon as they're on Bittorrent. Top Gear is powerful enough to be able to trash a bad car - unlike any North American show, or Fifth Gear.
Fifth Gear's review of the new turbo is much more in line with what one would expect - Jason Plato <sp?> (a former BTCC champion, I think) - all but had an orgasm driving it. Jeremy's was more entertaining, as expected.
I have this old Top Gear where the then-new 964 was reviewed. It was such good programming - Clarkson doing his usual schtick, then Needell pounding the car on the track. Great TV. I wish they were both on the same show now.

I think he is halarious. And probably right on. The show is halarious, and does not take itself seriously at all - neither does Clarkson. We don't need to know that its fast and has perfect reflexes. We already know that. I want to see him drive the car around a bit, and then I want to see a mini jumped off the lilihamer ski jump with real rocket power.

Funnily enough - a couple of issues of Top Gear back he used his column to praise the new 911 turbo. Can't remember what he said but something along the lines of it being seriously sexy.
Love Clarkson but I get the feeling Porsche weren't too nice to him early in his career and he's held a grudge. I don't enjoy it when he reviews Porsches and think if he really can't get past his prejudice he should hand the reviews over to his colleagues.
