Default Looking for Pictures- Paint to sample Ferrari Red

I just ordered (or reserved to be exact) a 997 GT3. I am thinking of doing paint-to-sample Ferrari Racing Red, but wanted to see how it looked first. Does anyone have pics of the turbo painted in a Ferrari Red? Thanks a lot in advance, the searches I didnt yeilded confusing results......

Is the Ferrari color Rosso Scuderia? I have some 997 C4 w/aerokit paint-to-sample pics in Rosso Scuderia stored on another computer-- will access next couple of days.

Well there's Rosso Scuderia or Rosso Corsa.
Pic is Scuderia. Sorry it's not on a Porsche.

Rosso Corsa is the medium Ferrari red, Rosso Scuderia is screaming bright red...compare cars 3 & 4 on this site http://www.continentalautosports.com...aspx?d=ferrari

Try to compare in the flesh, Rosso Scuderia is so close to Guards in photos it hardly seems worth the extra $$.
Below:Rosso Scuderia C4 coupe alongside Guards Red Boxster (unfortunately these two are in Florida).

Thanks for the pics guys. I think it was Rosso Corsa I was thinking of. Guards Red has a little orange in it, which is great if you like that, but my personal taste leans toward a darker red.

Jared - the pictures are cool, but I'd definately recommend making your decision on cars/color you see in person - and at various times of the day.

I had to choose a color for my '73 911 project years back. I based my choice on seeing real cars in parking lots I wondered for a couple weeks. There was some economy car that just happened to be a color that I thought would really work on the Porsche.

In the end, I choose a red that dressed a high end sports car of the time... sort of my wife picking paint colors based on the name!

For a new car though, I'd really have to be swayed before spending the cash to pay for what may be a pretty subtle color difference amoung reds...

I ordered a paint to sample 997S Cab (blue turquoise) not too long ago. (Picking it up in about 15 days). Suggest you go to PaintScratch.com and sift through their Ferrari reds and actually order a few samples of the various reds to get an idea of what you may be interested in. It will help you to evaluate which colors could be on your short list.
