I think people that buy 997 Carrera and Turbos are going for driver enjoyment, not lap times. Let the GT3 guys do that lol

I always tend to buy the second gen of turbo s. Not sure I will this time but look forward to seeing it. On road there is little or no difference in performance between a 997 turbo or 992 turbo s without going to jail.

best formula for the power hungry folks is to find the highest mileage example of a 997 or 991 for cheap and send it to AIM Performance in NJ for transformation both engine and suspension from 650 to 1400 whp, they got some crazy builds out there in the wilds if you are in the know.

I still get tons of enjoyment and lots of smiles in my 2008 Turbo Tip Cab. Put the top down, the car in sports mode, shifter in fully automatic and step on the gas. It accelerates and shifts as smooth as silk, from 0 to ∞, pure sound from my AWE exhaust coming from behind me. The 997 TT is still special and will be for years to come...

I think it's the analogue component that makes the difference for me. I wonder what a 600HP suspension modified TT would do on that track?

Anyway, I have a dual clutch transmission in my S6, and while it is quick, it is not as entertaining to drive.

Also, this is my financial limit, so even if I wanted one, it would be a while before I could afford one...

Definitely impressive.
