Default 997.1 Rear Deck/Wing Decision

I've decided to replace my rear deck/wing rather than going electric or repairing the hydraulics. At this point I have narrowed it down to two options:

JL Motoring custom (from Dguth's post):

And NR Auto's:

I want aggressive without being too much and I think both of these work toward that end. The JL is a bit wider (I think) and I like the air ducts on the JL. The NR is a bit narrower and closer to the GT style wing, but I don't like the air ducts as much. I also think I like the idea of paint color for the main part of the wing with a carbon gurney of the NR.

I have done some searching and only found Dguth's pics, and only the marketing pics of the NR. I know it will take some work to get either of these in final form and fit for the vehicle but I am split even on which I like the most.

What do you guys think? Are there other alternatives?

Ed

Both are really nice but I also gravitated to the JL one. I can't describe it but I just really dig the look.

I really like the oem+ kinda look of the NR GT2 replica. Keeps the wing dimensions within the body lines, giving it a 'beefy' kind of aggressive look without screaming boy racer to me like the JL. But, that of course, is just my opinion.

2nd pic. The GT2 wing is awesome looking. Make sure you get the proper one that sets over your airbox.

I do like the GT2 one but have you considered the Oem aero kit wing I was fortunate enough to find an Oem one ,but I know someone makes an aftermarket one also

I have both the GT2 wing and the 997.2 GT3 wing from Precision Porsche. I like to switch back and fourth from time to time. I love both, each has it's own unique look but the GT3 wing sets directly in the middle of my rear view mirror. The GT2 sets a tad below giving my 90% visibility.

Great comments. The aero kit wings are cool, but I like the wing edges hanging out on their own.

Both wings, huh? Maybe once my twins are out of college, but for now I am lucky to be able to shoehorn this purchase in for 1.

While both are pretty cool options, I have decided on the NR wing. I like the way it is aggressive, but then follows the body lines as has been mentioned. I am not sure whether I am going carbon fiber gurney or black paint.

Thanks for all the comments!

Good choice. Fitment with the NR Auto GT2 replica was perfect. I left the gurney untouched (gloss carbon fiber).
