Both wings, huh? Maybe once my twins are out of college, but for now I am lucky to be able to shoehorn this purchase in for 1.

While both are pretty cool options, I have decided on the NR wing. I like the way it is aggressive, but then follows the body lines as has been mentioned. I am not sure whether I am going carbon fiber gurney or black paint.

Thanks for all the comments!

Nice choice. You are close by me: Who's doing your paint work? I had a small mishap with my lower wing, and it has a paint chip on the rear edge nearby, so I was going to have a body shop repair and blend it.

Its a GT2 Replica wing - FRP. I have zero carbon on this car and wanted it all red. My Painter talked me into the black. Love it.

Actually I do my own paint. Yeah I know, but that's the economics of it for me. Since this is my car for life, I have less concerns for the perceptions of me doing the paint work. As long as I do it right and it matches the car, I am happy. At the same time, if I don't say so myself, I am getting pretty good, though this will be my first work on the 911.

My kid was happy with the work I did on his B6 A4, and I've redone the hood & bumper of my 26 year old (gives you an idea of my commitment to a platform) UrS6 a couple of times. Each job makes me better and I think I am ready for this one.

LOL, Yep. By the way, I was shocked at the price of paint when I started this. Adds to the pucker factor when doing a job. I wind up "practicing" my spray technique over & over with just air before I clip on the paint cup! Like everything else, prep is the most important.

Also, TWTurbo, your car is spectacular! Really well put together, great job!

I need to stay off these forums. Now I want an OEM or replica aero kit rear wing. Does the 997.1 turbo have a different aero kit wing than a non-turbo 911?

The JL looks too aggressive for my liking. The NR follows the lines and curves of the car.

Your car has been my desktop image for soooo long!! (Got the same base car, without all the nice goodies you have)… but you mentioned you knew someone who made a replica of the OEM Aerokit…. Could you please share?? My rams are failing (like everyone’s) and although I went for a cheap fixed setup for now, I’d for sure like to replace with the aerokit look!!!!

(sorry for digging in some old post, but I’ve been digging for so long to find a nice replica as I can’t afford nor find an OEM one &#128532
