Nice driving, looks fun. I've only ever autocrossed my 944 Turbo but somehow the 997TT just feels like it would be a little "heavy" and unwieldy in a short and tight AX course.

It absolutely is. On tighter courses it's really not well suited - the turbos always feel like they just spool up in time to push you too deep for the next gate. Much prefer the S2k then. But on a big, open course like this one, it was pretty awesome. And this was on 280tw Bridgestones that came with my used HREs. It'd be a beast on sticky tires.

If our autocrosses were like this I’d do a lot more of them! Must be more expensive than renting the unused parking lot or landing strip though?
The problem we have up here on Vancouver Island is that there aren't any unused parking lots or airstrips! We have a smaller oval track that we normally rent, but it's shutting down next year, and then this track (VIMC) might be the only game in town.
So yeah, it's a bit more than most autocrosses, although way less than a lapping day.
Well done! Car really rips though that longer autocross course! Did you actually go airborne and lose traction at :56?
Sure did! Corner workers said the fronts were a foot off the ground, and it had all four clear for a bit. If not for the revs going up you'd barely know it though - it landed super gently. Rear engine helps I think, and I give some credit to the TPC DSC Controller too.
