Default Would you change engine oil?

Looking for advice.

2011 997.2 Turbo S (DFI engine, with modest tune).
Driven 5000km (3200mi) this year in summer.
One track day where car was pushed hard.

Now car will go into winter storage for 5-6 months; car will not be run or turned on during this time.

Would you change the engine oil? Premature?
Am thinking Motul X-Cess 5W40 FWIW.

I'd change it.

You are either gonna change it now or in the spring. Why not now?

Yes fill your gas tank and add Stabil, over inflate your tires 3-5 pounds and/or put the car up on jack stands, attach a battery tender (preferred) and/or disconnect the battery, and cover it. JMO

If you’re lifting the car up for an extended period, remove the wheels.

I always service my non-dailies after I wake them up as I would like to have fresh oil / service before I start driving them again.

It is better to change it before storage, so that you don't have contaminated/acidic oil sitting in the engine. However, with that low of mileage it really doesn't matter. But it's nice to start it up in the spring and be ready to go.

I change before storage, but many change before spring start up. Unless you have some really nasty old oil in there, either way should be fine. I just like turning the key and going when the weather changes (including those nice days in the middle of December!)
