Congrats decaf! Great write up. I saw your car when it popped up in the classifieds. It’s very nice and minty fresh. Looks brand new. The power of the TT is very addictive.

Definitely get the dsc —it makes a
HUGE difference for comfort on the road and at the track. I live In Chicago with really crappy roads, and to me the dsc feels like it changed the car to a magic carpet. It also felt great at the track a few weeks ago when I took her to gingerman speedway. I also have the sharkswerks bypas in mine and love it. Perfect sound for me. The europipe is a more complete solution that includes sports cats and is a bit louder in sound, with impecable built quality and price to boot! Can’t go wrong with either.

You are soooooo screwed.

You can't see it yet, but your wallet is $5k lighter.

Oh, I can see it. I'm just fighting it off as long as I can!

Yeah, those were fun days. iMIV iPod adapter, RKelly Cold Air Intake, JRL modded exhaust, iPD downpipe, Tune, iPD springs and sways......I sold the car before I ponied up for a FMIC, which was badly needed in the DC summers! But man I really surprised some people in that wagon!

i read it and it's a beautiful story! i love the "hunt" and more so when we are rewarded with a car that deserves the love we give it. Meteor grey with that Blue interior is rare in my book.
Congratulations!!

Thanks! The story and the hunt are the best! I’m actually a little sorry I didn’t get to buy it and drive it cross country like my 991.

Rare indeed. Only 997.2 Turbo S ever made in this combo!

Default 997.2 Turbo S

Congratulations and great write up!
I took delivery of mine about a week ago. A 2011 Turbo S, Meteor Grey with 9,300 miles. Moved up from 2007 Turbo Tip. Enjoy your new Porsche in good health!

Default 997. 2 Turbo S

Thank's! Actually I found out about it from a 3rd party and had been talking with him since March. He was kind enough to hold it for me until I sold my 997.1 Turbo. I love the .2 ! It's not going anywhere!

Wow, great find. Congrats! Are those body color painted wheels? Don’t think I’ve ever seen these wheels in that color.

They are - was shown as an option on the Window Sticker. I'd never seen it before either. I love the color combo of your Turbo!

Such an interesting thread. I learned about a blue interior on a Meteor Gray car (sure looks black to me in the pics) and I learned about body colored painted wheels as an OEM option from brand new. So great. Your car looks amazing but your story is 10X better than that. It's the people, not the cars, that make this place so sweet for me, though it's close. It's funny to me to hear about everyone "needing" to get a Europipe or DSC, whatever either of those are, to make their car faster, or better sounding or whatever. I would never, ever add anything to my car. It's bone stock and is absolutely so perfect this way for me, I'm blown away that anyone would need these cars to be faster or louder.

That last thing I'd want is even one smidgen louder anything on my car. I live very very close to my neighbors. To each his own.

Congrats and you did SO WELL. I thought I would want/like/need a 991.2 Turbo S in the next 1-5 years but the more I think about it, it adds nothing to my life to upgrade this car. I adore it just the way it is. The A/C blows really cold, it's so comfortable on long rides, my GF loves it, the color combo is the best for me, no need, at all. to upgrade to a newer car.
