Default Speedtech 2.5" X-Pipe

John gave me a good deal on a 3" x-pipe for my 997.1 so I have a 2.5" sitting around. Anyone with an existing quiet system want to turn it up a little, or with a 3" whose wife thinks it's too loud? Let me know if you are interested, or want to borrow it to try it out. Or if there are any Europipe owners that want to start building a better exhaust for themselves.
Thanks!

I have the 3” x-pipe as well and really love the sound. I’ve got oem cats and I’m considering getting the HJS cats at some point down the road. Maybe on the 997.2 the SpeedTech is quieter because I couldn’t imagine anyone thinking my exhaust is way too loud. Pretty tame until you are in sport mode and even then, not crazy loud. I’ve heard some complaints of drone but don’t hear any in my car...any drone with your setup?

Hi Jeff, nice car by the way. It's not my daily driver so I'm ok with a little loud. I went from the 2.5 to the 3 to try and get a little more sound. I'd imagine you would get a little more volume switching to the aftermarket cats, and maybe benefit from a little more flow.

There is a smidgen of drone at 2350-2500 RPM which is my usual cruise range. Its just plain nasty on idle and WOT. Still looking for someone in the Scottsdale area with whom I can sync up to compare the widely acclaimed Europipe ;-)
----- Adding Data:
Just for giggles I measured cold start decibels. Measuring six feet behind license plate, the ambient noise was 40 db. On start up for 35 seconds the db hovered at 97. a quick/light throttle blip bumped to 105 db.
Obviously normal driving is louder yet and on the throttle is louder again. Not sure if this helps.

Loud all of the time or only in sport / sport plus? Maybe driving my Jeep has wrecked my ability to judge loud exhaust or drone

Not loud all the time but it has a very distinct exotic car note, louder than other TT's at light acceleration and cruise. Insane at WOT.

A Europipe thread just started on your behalf. “The Rolex of exhausts”.
