hi guys, so my car cracked the factory 997.1 manifold (car is a simple FBO e85). Does anyone upgrade these to something better/stronger ? Also if someone has a stock set for sale let me know please. I am talking about the 2 cast metal manifolds with runners that attach to the heads not the middle TB plenum part (my car has SRM plenum with gt3 TB).

 

Lean backfire on E85 and throttle tip-in?

 

it was def a backfire, a good one at that i think it was during off throttle/shift. Weather has been cold, around 40F and car was backfiring more than usual probably should get the map looked at.

 

They're not cast netal, but plastic. You're not the first one to suffer from cracked manifolds. BBi and ESMotor (at least) have solutions, then there's the OEM one: 997 GT2 aluminium manifolds. They will require ECU reprogramming.
