Never lost any money on any of those two. Excellent cars no argument. The 993 cars were low production cars. The 997.1 Turbo, thousands were built In fact, many more. But....not so sure about all the hype about the 997.1 Turbo values. It’s like looking at real estate comparable values and speculating on the selling price of your home. It’s natural behavior and most often do it. It’s when you put it out and sell. If I would have waited 1.5 years, I would have sold my RS America for over $200k! It had 16k miles on it. I drove my car today, pulls like a freight train!
I am using your logic. You said the 997.2 outperforms the 997.1 in every way and nostalgia of the Mezger is not warranted, thats why it’s better. The same logic can be applied to the 993.

I love my 997.1 and I had a 993 turbo. Sold the 993 just a bit too soon for the $$$$ appreciation. I love my 997.1 and have no interest in .2 cars. I happen like the old clunker engine it has. Oh, and I went with the 911 tuning exhaust and happen to like that too. And its fit and finish are perfect.

So I found my 997.1 TT and it arrived yesterday. It's an '07 with 28k miles. It's wrapped but white underneath. PCCB, Adaptive Sport Seats, White Stitching, Sport Chrono, Carbon everywhere. Europipe Stage 1 Exhaust, H&R Springs. Loving it so far and so much to learn about this platform!

I'm not usually a fan of wrapped cars, but that car looks great! Nice options and upgrades as well..

Congrat's and enjoy!

2008 997 turbo manual midnight blu
Just bought an 2008 midnight blue manual with 90k kilometers for 69k euro. Originally an american car. Seems what you are looking for. There are a few in Nl but I guess you do not want to go through the hassle of importing.

I'd just like to make one point on the Axle lock option. Of course all else being equal, go for the spec that includes the axle lock (option code 220). However, it's utility in the real world is questionable. On the street you will never be able to tell it's there. This is already an AWD car so you're not exactly breaking the rear tires loose on acceleration. On the track, where you might be able to benefit from the diff lock, the stock units are prone to failure and are usually replaced with stronger after-market units. My point is this is a nice-to-have option mostly because it pads the build sheet. But I would never pass on a car because it didn't have it.
