Well, finally had a chance to take it for a drive and then give it a wash. The car drives great. The power of course if completely insane, but the car is also very easy to drive in a civilized manner. Steering and brakes are great, shifter is smooth and precise and everything feels tight, no rattles or squeaks. My only complaint would be the lack of sound. Coming from an e92 M3, I knew this would be an issue. The e92 has one of the greatest motors ever put in a production car. You can't beat a naturally aspirated V8 revving to 8400 RPM. I'm gonna have to look at some after market exhaust options. To me, how a car sounds is a very important part of the driving experience and the stock exhaust lacks in the sound department. I have both the factory 19" turbo wheels and the 20" forged Champions. The champions look great but I'm curious how differently the car would drive with stock wheels so I'll probably swap them out soon just to see. Anyway, here are some pics after I gave it a quick wash. The old clear bra and stone guards need to come off. They have yellowed from age and the edges are picking up dirt. That will be the next thing to get done.

Love the gray wheels!! Look sooooo good with white! If you don't have a DSC controller yet, I'd highly recommend one....makes a good car even more enjoyable.
The sound thing is something I wrestled with when I first got it. But, after driving the car more frequently I came to love all of the "mechanical" sounds and whirring that this car emits. Many times i'll turn down or turn off the radio and just languish in the analog/mechanical wonderfulness of the car. Having a car that emits a lot of external noise is ok, but IMO, the mechanical nature of the 997tt is a glorious sound.
I've decided to keep mine stock, for going an aftmkt exhaust.
Enjoy what looks to be a stellar find.

That car looks like a 12 year old time capsule. It was impeccably maintained, the wheels TOTALLY set it off, the red stitching makes the interior so much sweeter and the white color pops. Well done.
