Default GT2 Lower Trim Sill

Is the GT2 lower trim sill the same as a Standard 997 Turbo? I was going to add a GT2 lower trim and paint it the body color, but I’m not sure if that piece is different than what already comes on the car. Anyone know?

The 997 GT2 sill (or GTS, is the same design) fits the Turbo. It is a different shape to the standard Turbo sill though - it has a slightly more aggressive look, as you can see here: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...installed.html

I would not paint the GT2 sills... mine have been sand blasted by the Michelins. (I have GT2RS spec wheels and tires with the fronts one sizes up to zero out the rolling discrepancy)

that being said.. you don't notice the damaged area being that it is all black.

That's up to you. I like the look a lot, but nearly 800 bucks for a couple pieces of plastic hardly different than the stock parts is a tough pill to swallow. For reference, I got a set of 991.2 GT3RS side sills for my touring and they cost less than half, and are much more aggressive.

That's the bit that irks me most - it seems an unjustifiable premium given the price of comparable parts. Wish someone would make an identical after market version.

There has to be someone who can 3D print a set for cheaper?

3D printed material probably not strong enough. We need the crowd that make the knock off front aero lip to make these.
