Default Thoughts on this car?

I think I've ruled this car out because of premium price and two-tone interior, but the owner history is leaving me uneasy (2 auctions, multiple dealers across the country). Is something wrong with this car that it's not selling and staying with someone longer term, or am I being over critical? Another thing that scares me from the current dealer description..."all of the major components work" - are there minor components that don't?!

Agreed. That's why I haven't even reached out to them yet because I don't think we're in the same ballpark on price. I have no problem with a premium price for the manual over a PDK car, but this car has too many miles, owners, and not enough options to warrant the collector car/investment grade asking price. You can ask whatever price you want, but I want to make sure the car's history is not worrisome before I even spend my time looking at it more and negotiating.

Default Turbo

The dark gray interior is quite nice, IMO, but if that bothers you then yeah you might want to pass on the car.

It would appear that with the exception of the Texas owner that actually drove and enjoyed the car, the other owners/dealers were flipping/speculating on a very low mileage car.....not uncommon with ultra low $$$ cars. It did sell at several auctons but unclear whether they were high end or speciality/collector car events...a few questions might get some answers.

Good hunting.

You paid less than $70k for a TTS? Sounds like a pretty good deal.

It's hard to imagine that car with 14k miles would have too many mechanical issues, but the price is definitely insane. IIRC, Luxsport is known for overpricing cars, and the owner doesn't have a great reputation. I recall several threads about him on the Pelican Parts forums.

I prefer all black interior, but need to see the two-tone in person before I fully rule it out. Yea, I was thinking maybe the dealers were asking too much money and it sat, then went to auction.

That car has travelled to more states than I have (lol!). It's nice but way over priced. Someone is looking for a quick $50K profit.

I paid less than that 5 years ago for my TTS cab, 5000 miles, with MSRP of 190, lol.

There’s a 2012 turbo coupe for sale at dealer here for $169. Low miles. Manual.
But I think they’re smoking sense.

Yea I saw that one yesterday and called the dealer. It's on consignment. I asked them what was backing up that crazy price and supposedly the owner is quoting some recent sale in Chicago for $165K. I've been watching the market for a while and have not seen anything higher (also crazy high) than the white and silver ones currently at LuxSport. I made an offer pending an in-person inspection/PPI. We'll see if the owner wants to actually sell...

I'd get it if the car was a better color/PTS or a aerokit car with PCCB or something. The price is really high for a non aero or PCCB car. Yeah it's manual 7.2 TT but its not worth what they're asking.

Meta. Which car did you make an offer?
Paul Miller 2012? I can put eyes on the PM car if that helps.
