Brainz's solution worked! 4K later and I'm back on the road, looking forward to driving the car again. Thank you to everyone for the suggestions and research. Let me know if you guys ever end up in Raleigh, beers are on me.

Hey, congrats! Glad I could help. What specifically did they do to you car? Replace the gaskets/orings?

Just a heads up...Sonnen lists Porsche OEM replacement part 722-270-200-0 2008 911 Turbo Transmission (Trans-axle) as $25,500 2 year warranty.

Luckily I didn't have to replace it, the Porsche dealer here quoted the trans at $28K, the 33K was installed.

They ended up replacing the gaskets and the transmission mounts. $753.40 in parts and $2884 in labor plus tax and other fees. Beats the hell out of replacing the transmission! The last few months have been expensive, seems like everything needed to be done, new PCCB pads front and back, plugs and coils, transmission and intake issues. 10k that I would have rather spent on mods or a nice trip...but I guess that's what you get with a 10 year old car.

Thanks again for the research!

That's a big total bill, but hopefully you're good for another decade. Good job!

Hi guys,

I need some advice from you guys about how to deal with this situation. I just got a used 2013 Cayenne Turbo 65,000miles a few months ago with 36 months extended warranty. A few weeks ago, the car "jolting" going from 3rd to 4th gear, the dealership replaced the new Transfer case, the shaft, and the rear differential. But the "jolting" is still not completely fixed, it's just improving and becomes less noticeable. Now the dealership is suggesting to replace the transmission. But the thing is the extended warranty might not cover 100% of it. So what would be my best bet? I know I can try to replace the fluid for the fix. But is this a real fix?
