Mod it out! Make it your own, standout from the ordinary. Who cares what other people think. Yank that Mezger out and drop a LS-1 in it, no coolant leaks or spun camshafts to deal with!

Not a fan of the cheap Ebay lights, I know a guy that installed these on his 997 and the lights were not bright at all. Something I would not do on my car...

interesting, I read that the light output was the same. I just installed the Osram Nighbreaker Laser bulbs and the brightness improved greatly from the tired oem bulbs.

I was referring to the outer ring around the headlight not the actual bulb.

next generation's wheels (991 wheels), next gen's headlights.................all make the car look altered and not-original.

In my opinion stock lights look very classy on the car. It really fits the age of the car.

I wish they made replacement OEM lenses for ours instead of us needing a whole new unit when OEM is pitted and hazy.

I believe they are factory sealed using a special sealant/glue.

Most headlights are, but you can bake them in the oven to loosen up the glue and pull them apart. Pretty common to do for people who mod their reflectors, trims, etc.
