How many miles is too many miles on a 997 Turbo?

Tip is actually as far as transmission durability is concerned, no contest. Out performs 6 speed all day all night. Bonus is no over revs! I wonder if anyone can improve the shift speeds and voracity.

My Tip has done more or less exactly that milage. I have had a coolant pipe leak (turbo hose, so not the most common problem) and a broken intercooler in the 1½ years I have owned the car. I would consider this pretty minor stuff that could easily happen to a car with the same age but half the miles. Especially since they were plastic and rubber parts.

Yes, but sometimes it is not how fast you go 0-60, but how much fun you have getting there and the 6 speed is fun!!!

I own a tip. They are really strong and robust transmissions. The key to making them fun is always use them in sport mode. Much better shifting and no lag. As far as mileage, I bought mine with 19k miles and now at 35k. I plan on going well over 100k and not stopping. These are well made vehicles and as long as properly maintained, will last a long time.

With proper records, 71K isn’t a problem. If you like the car and everything checks out, buy it and enjoy
