Question 2009 997 Turbo Cab

Hi folks. Interested in buying a 2009 911 Turbo 997.1 Cabriolet with 83000 miles. This guy wants $52K for it. KBB is saying $47K.

Does anybody know what this car is worth and what a fair deal might be? Thank you.

Don't believe KBB, if maintained right and in reasonable shape 52K is not bad, offer 50K. If you offer the KBB you probably will not get a counter offer after that.

What about the mileage? 83,000+ miles seems a bit high... but i think the car is pretty sound.

It is a little bit high that's why I say offer 50K but it is a manual much better resale later in life, I bought my 2009 for 52K last November with 68000 miles mine is a Tiptronics. A lot of people here have more miles than 83000 and still going strong. You also get to say you have the last Mezger motor with a manual Trans.

if you had a choice between a 31K miles C4S Cab@$42K vs. an 83K 997.1 Turbo Cab @$51K, which would you choose?

Turbo! Have you driven one yet? I drove an 2008 S thought that was the cats meow till I drove a Turbo then it was all I looked at. I had to have Cab and Tiptronics. I think in the resale the Turbo will hold it's value a little better than the 4S but I'm no expert only wishful thinking. I came out of a base Boxster.

Either way it is a big decision the best advice I got from the forums was buy the best car that you can afford I loved my 2000 Boxster just put 3500.00 into my 06 Cayenne because it has been the best car I have owned and the Turbo was my Dream Porsche and is a blast to drive even if it is only my " Girl Friday Car"

i just doubt i will be using all the Turbo's power, but I can be mistaken. If a C4 is a 5, in terms of speed, from a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the Turbo?

That Turbo feels like it will be a speeding ticket magnet.

on a scale of 1-10 the first month it was a 10 after driving it a few miles it has become an 8 for me but I am a very conservative driver. I mostly drive it as a GT car using cruise control for 75% of my driving. That being said the turbo will be easier to sell in the near future and being a manual even that much easier. the 31K C4S does sound inviting though and would bring smiles when you drive and being a Cab a big plus in my book. PS either one will be a ticket magnet if you don't watch your P'S and Q'S. So if price is the motivator don't think you are getting less car in the C4S as it is still a well built Porsche machine. Again YMMV.

They are all ticket magnets. Do it in style and be done with it. $50K is a good price if maintained properly.

If you decide not to go with the turbo cab....post details here so others can check it out. That seems like a pretty good price to me if well maintained. For prices like that I’d be interested in a second turbo.
