TPMS and lower michelin specifications
I recently put a set of Michelin Sport Cup 2s on my turbo.. Michelin calls for 29 front and 33 rear … I am trying to reset the TPMS system so that it won't continually give me warnings at these pressures... any ideas?

Just ignore the error. There's no option that I'm aware of that lets you adjust the error threshold.
Assuming you're running those pressures on track? Would run higher for road use.

I've been running those pressures on the road. What are people running when using them on the road?

Thanks... I shall adjust.

No problem, the reason they have those recommended pressures is your tires will heat up to 33-36 front and 39-42 back after 3-5 minutes of hard / spirited cornering and braking. I went on a backroad drive Sunday, it was blazing sun, humid, and 90s on asphalt road surfaces well into the 150s - stopped and drained 6 pounds out halfway through the drive. They're incredible tires, but they're built for track heat cycles and respond quickly to those conditions.

I’m not tracking the car and made a mistake buying these tires. I should have bought the 4S..... I will know next time

The 4S is a much better tire - it's capabilities are flat out wizardry. I bought my Cup2 last July in anticipation for this year and used up a set of PSS in August. I wish I had known, I could have waited.

The Cup2's are an amazing tyre, but shine on spirited B roads and track more than every day road use.

^+1 Installed a new set of 4S's yesterday. I like the ride, however I've always found more road noise with the Michelin's that some of the other brands on other P-cars I have. Given the rim size I had only two choices on brands and the 4S was a clear #1 choice.
Tires shop recommended 40/40 to preserve tire degradation. I'll likely knock down the pressures a few pounds in the fronts over the next couple months to find that ride sweet spot. I don't track.

Damn these threads are not helping me decide between the Cup and 4S... Have been a big fan of the MPSS on multiple cars but have read the 4S handling/ride characteristics are noticeably different.

I will tell you that my tires came from tire rack.. the front set have already been replaced under warranty for being out of round and 2015 vintage... the second pair are hardly any better. I can’t imagine the superior traction that the sport Cup2s will offer would ever show up on the street. As I said before... I won’t buy them again. I will mention that the Cups are fine in the rain.
if you buy them... make sure they haven’t been sitting in some wharehouse for over a year or more!

Thanks guys; I'm gonna go with the 4S on my new wheels. I figure if I ever do track this car, I could put some R rubber on the stock wheels after using-up the aging MPSS's on them now.
