Random question if you don't mind, would you say you paid a discount or a premium (or neither) for the color? Sounds like you snatched it up fast so it makes me wonder if the dealer misjudged its marketability.

i think the color definitely makes it special. When I did a search on ********** it only showed 1 vehicle match that fits my color options. Dealers in general will sell cars to move it so they price it accordingly unless your a small specialty shop or something. I pulled the trigger on the car before they even cleaned it but there were (according to the dealer) 3-4more people waiting if my deal didnt go through. While i take that kind of statement from the dealer with a grain of salt, i did miss on some other 997s that way so I didnt hesitate this time around.

Think you guys are missing the boat on this one. The majority of 997 Turbo PTS cars seem to command a premium unless flat out ugly (which I concede is subjective). The premium btw, seems to be less as time passes as PTS’s appear so common nowadays with the 991. You won’t convince me that slate grey, atlas grey, white, or Miami/riviera blue 997 Turbos sell for less than comparable black, silver, or meteor grey colors.

Anecdotally, just like Nate2046 stated, I've noticed among the more common variants, 911SC, 964, 993, the more unique colors like Rubystone and Viper Green traded at discounts until the cars became more collectible, then the rarer colors went way up.
Maybe it's a daily driver thing. If someone is looking at a car they're planning to drive regularly, like a new 991, I doubt they'd pick Rubystone. A new GT3RS, I could do a PTS in Nordic Gold without a second thought.
Regardless, enjoy the 4th all!

Wow, that's a great color! When we were hunting for a 997TT a couple of years ago, we stumbled on one that color. I loved the car in that color, but it was a high mileage spec that was overpriced (we thought) & we passed on it. That's a color I'd consider if I were ever to order a new PTS vehicle.

I've seen this color in person, it's gorgeous. At first glance, it's black, but catch just the right angle and there's an entire palette of green to behold. If anyone follows IG, find miss.turbiene as she has a nice collection of cars, one of them being an olive green 997tt.
