Default Nice Upgraded 08 TT 6MT at Carmax in CA

There's a new posting for a black/tan 08TT 6MT with 36K miles at Carmax in Santa Rosa, CA for $65K. It has an upgraded Pioneer Avic PCM, sport adaptive seats, sport chrono and appears to be in good condition from the photos. IMO it won't last long.

Wow, I'm scratching my head here, the Autocheck looks clean and seems like an amazing deal if everything checks out. I thought for sure when I opened the pics it was going to be a Tip mischaracterized as a manual.

I'm not able to find it - has it been reserved already? CarMax seems to have some surprisingly good prices on 997 Turbos, although there have been a few cases where it turns out it's because the cars have some imperfect Carfax histories, neglected maintenance or don't look as good in person as photos suggest.

Hmm, I can't find it again either. Below was the link that I copied and forgot to paste in my post that still works (and oddly enough, the price is now $2k lower than before):

Sounds too good to be true for me. I am sure we will know about it sooner than later.

Looks like the car was hit from behind...

Figures, that's how these Carmax threads almost always go.

Yup, usually too good to be true and very telling that it didn't show up on their Autocheck report. Thanks for posting the CF 650kid

Interesting, it's back on their website and their Carfax doesn't show that the car was in an accident. The report above just mentions damage to the rear which may/may not have been caused by an accident. Their report is clean. At $63K it's still a good deal. BTW, I'm not affiliated with Carmax.

My first attempt at a TT was a CarMax car 2008 Automatic Autocheck was clean but Carfax had an accident did a ppi checked out ok even took it to my autobody guy and he said it was repaired well as he could not see any repair work done, I just felt that CarMax was disingenuous with not taking in to account the accident just because it was not their Autocheck. passed on the car but followed it for a while was reserved twice more before i think it sold in Torrance.

What does it mean when Carfax only started reporting the damage in 2016? I saw the car today in Fremont and it is immaculate.

This is the same car from Carmax that was discussed not too long ago. https://rennlist.com/forums/997-turb...ed-advice.html

Lol, you’re right! I made the same comments about it too re the Carfax vs. Autocheck, so much for short term memory. It’s like deja vu all over again.
