OFFICIAL INTRO TO THE 997TT BOARD, NEW OWNER
OK guys. its official. Car arrived last night. I couldnt be happier. The torque is amazing so far, but im not used to the turbos. The power is not linear like i am accustomed to, i find myself waiting for it and then whoosh its like a freight train. I think it will pull on my RS from 100 and up, even though AWD and down on HP. Car is so fresh and clean and tight. Aside form the power im really appreciating the factory sport shifter. Its so nice and stout compared to the standard i had int he GTS.
few questions for you guys...........if the easiest is to link me to another thread to read that's also appreciated instead of an actual response.
I'm wondering if a tune would make the power more linear, i didn't really want to mess with the ECU but would consider it if the delivery would become smoother.
Can someone please recommend the best spacer sizes to get for the most aggressive stock wheel fitment without any rubbing, front and back. also if you had another option besides Suncoast Porsche id appreciate it.
I am looking forward to spending time in here and learning from all of you.

I would first try a less restrictive exhaust. My experience was much of turbo lag gone. Then a tune.

AC,
Congrats on the pickup! For a more linear power delivery I would echo the exhaust & tune. It will also transform the car... If you think the car is fun now, just wait.
For suspension, here is a picture for reference with the 7mm and 14mm spacers combined with GMG springs, I really like them, next would be to add the DSC and I would be finished with suspension.

Congrats (again)! I'm in the reverse situation, "dream street car" .1TT already here and aiming for a GT3 track car someday soon.
I am running 7 &15mm FVD spacers on stock wheels & MPSS tires, fill-out the fenders nicely but some say they increase load on wheel bearings as well as increase risk of rock chips. Neither has affected me to date.
I added a Cobb Stage 1 tune early-on which really woke-up the responsiveness and smoothed the power delivery. The TPC DSC box improves the stock PASM behavior drastically - literally I noticed the change in the first 30 seconds. So these are 3 transformative and easily-reversible/resellable mods for ~$3K total ballpark.
Late 2017 I went to Stage 2 with an IPD plenum, Europipe EP2, GT2/997.2 intercoolers, Wevo semi-solid engine mounts, and EVOMS underdrive pulley, and now am very happy with the powertrain; planning to leave it alone and focus on modest suspension/wheels/tires next. I have access to 100 octane pump gas which also wakes-up the car as I can run a 48-state 93 octane stage2 tune on a blend of 91 & 100.

Lovely car!! I would suggest EP (exhaust) and COBB tune, perfect combo! Were you deliberate in parking two ICE cars in front of Tesla EV charging stations...LOL. Was that your subtle middle finger salute to the plug-in hybrid direction of future 911s and the ever present threat of autonomous vehicles...Hahahaha!

AT SATCO - great purchase! Am a new Rennlist member and searching for my first Pcar. I had meant to comment on your other thread on this car but saw this post today and figured here was more appropriate - I actually flew up to RSM to take a look at this car in person a few weeks ago, it's absolutely stunning and a "unicorn" for sure! I ended up wanting to go the coupe route, but otherwise would have jumped on this at the time. Congrats and love the meteor gray - the sport shifter in this car was fantastic, for sure! Sam was fantastic and I can't agree more with others that chimed in wrt his quality.
