Upgrading Steering Wheel to Paddle Shift

Yes I did the same mod and love it. Just wondering if I need to reprogram if I'm putting back the stock module and steering wheel.
You will need to order the electronic control module Part No. 997-613-289-01 . I ordered mine from Gaudin in Vegas for $300. Installed it and the wheel myself in a few hours . I am no mechanic , but took my time and watched a video 8 times.
I have heard of some dealers charging 1 hour for programming , mine charged 2 hours. Transformed the car completely from the ugly clunky tip buttons . Worth every penny IMO.
can you tell me where I can watch the video on how to install the module

just buy the foxwell510/530 on ebay and code it yourself. it can pretty much do 90% of piwis coding not to mention all the other features / debugging it can do.
I bet used ones can be found (potentially) on ebay for 100ish usd.

I know this is an old thread but I too would love to see the installation video.
also, I have 997.1 with multi-function steering wheel. How does the list of parts I need change with the multi-function wheel?
thanks!

Everything is installed and my shop got the paddles working, but cannot clear the PSM failure. Tried calibrating it several times but it will not clear, any ideas?
I've already pulled everything back out and checked connections, but all seems fine.
Thanks

I believe I had to run a calibration to get it to finally clear all the last of the codes. Steering angle calibration maybe? Yes I know PSM seems unrelated to steering angle, but I vaguely remember needing to do it. Certainly can't hurt.

Do you think I might have broken my steering angle sensor? I taped it so it wouldn't move like the video's suggested so not sure how it could have broke...

Update:
PSM failure is now fixed! Used this guide to program the new module. The bottom portion was the most important. Only issue I have now is they forgot to enable my PASM... lol
https://gpsadapter.us/blogs/installa...e-coding-guide
4. Then select "PSM" unit and read and erase all fault memories. After that read your security code (The security code is read with the PIWIS2
under menu item "Actual values") and do a steering-wheel-sensor-calibration (security code is needed here). (some cars need this calibration clear PSM faults)

steering-wheel-sensor-calibration ... thats the one. Glad you got it worked out. So much nicer with the upgraded wheel! For anyone in the future, I did this calibration with an icarsoft por2, did not need a security code or piwis2+ for it. I wouldn't be surprised if the durametric can do it, possibly the foxwell also.
