I would consider rear sway, lowering springs, and TPC DSC. If you do decide to track a bit more then front LCAs to GT3/adjustable would be worthwhile so you can dial in more camber, but I would expect there's little return in the other mods you have listed unless you have money to burn.

Here's what I did - that resulted in a nice fixed/active sport suspension that I could use on track very similar to Porsches X73 suspension offered in the 996 series. But end of day, IMO, turbo is not really a track car, its too heavy.

Bilstein B8 Damptronic
GMG Springs
964 RS Motor Mounts
GT2 RS rear bar.
DSC

Again, its a nice solid fixed sport suspension.

I don't think you need anything under the "do i need" or "doubt it" categories. I think most of those items are for adjusting your suspension (perhaps frequently) perhaps for frequent track outings.

My car is a stick... it fits fine and makes a big difference in the sharpness of the car on the street.

In the third pic it looks like it's hitting the frame?

I think that it's the angle I took the shot. Those pics were taken with the car rolled up on ramps in back so that I could get the pictures with the suspension in it's natural position.. I've also had the car up on my jack and at the same time with a bottle jack under one side of the suspension to throw some crazy angle at it... I'm not seeing any rubbing or "braking metal" contact between the crossmember and sway bar. I haven't heard any noises either.

this car has the DSC module and GT2RS wheel, tire sizes, and sport cup2s on it. you could go around a sharp turn (turning off a main road to a secondary... so actually quite sharp) and the rear of the car would feel like it was buckling or skipping (lots of tire size and stick on a soft suspension). After the install of this GT2 sway bar the car is so much more planted and flat. It is clear that the wheel is being held much tighter to the ground thus doing a better job of traction. Also, the car feels much more directional giving a much more nimbler feel....

Would you consider putting OEM springs with b8's or would that self defeating?

Aren't the B6 performance shocks with PASM the correct ones for stock sprung (and thus ride height) 997.2 Turbos?

Yes. B6 is the “sport” version of the OEM shock (which is B4 I believe). It is designed for stock springs. The B8 is the sport shock designed for lowering springs.
