Performance Bearings and Headgasket
Hi Gents,
Could any of you guys advise on part numbers for high performance 996/997.1 main and bigend bearings, along with a capable MLS 1.3mm Headgasket?
And also, who I can source these parts from...
I have searched endlessly on the web, with no success.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
Regards.

You might post your question over on the 997TT forum on 6speed.. there are several over there that have hiPo builds.
Now if you have a question about future 997TT values, you are in the right spot.

What do you mean by "high performance bearing" exactly. Most Porsche bearings are all ready high performance. Is this a street car?
As to performance head gasket, that's easy, look for a Cometic one. Supports more boost.

Thanks for the reply Gents...
Its one of our full blown track cars...
Built from the ground up...
Bearings used on current engine is Glyco for the mains and Clevite for the Bigends.
I'm just struggling to source these bearings again.
On the opposite side of the world!

The information that you need to supply in your thread is..
Which crankshaft are you using? Stock 993/996TT/997TT or a GT3 Cranks? Or a modified offset ground 930 crank?
For the mainline bearings, you should tell us the "clearance" color which is painted on the crankshaft. Red, Yellow or Blue. This will allow one to supply you the bearings and number thrust bearing sizing. Yellow is the most common, but if the crank has some wear and a heavy polish, you can tighten the clearance up.
The rods will require more information. If you have Dana/Clevite bearings>>they will have a part number that you can provide.
