Need help coolant leak
ok just got all hoses pinned new water pump and coolant tank.
Now have a small coolant leak only after the car has been off for a couple hours.
Its weird no that is leaks so long after engine is off.
I tighten the small hex where here it looks like it's coming from with no luck

I had a small leak in the identical place and under the same symptoms.. (long after the car has been shut off). This leak was after the dealer did an engine-out service a few years back..
Turned out the leak was coming from one of the short rubber hoses that connect to the big coolant manifold.. dealer had to tighten it up and no more leak..
I'd take it back to the place that did all the work and have them fix it..

Thanks I will be bring it back to get checked.
Another thing is even if the car has been sitting for a couple days when I take off the blue cooling cap off the resiovor
it still has pressure?
is that normal?

Have the same issue!
Thanks for posting as I thought I had the only gremlin. I have a similar small puddle which appears around the same time frame after the car has been turned off. I had my system checked in Northern Va. but no one could find the issue nor were there visible signs of coolant residue on the bottom of the components.
Guess I'll try another shop and have them tighten things up (again) and see if that works.
Good luck!
