Default WTB: GT3 Emblem (red)

I have been searching all over for a OEM GT3 emblem for the deck lid. No problem finding a black one, but I'm looking for red. My previous GT3 had one in red, so I know they make em. Thank for the help.

Bumper Plugs has them. They start with a stock black one and paint them to your choice. Nice process. I bought a red one for the same reason as you white RS 😎

A couple years ago I found an eBay site that had correct size & font GT3 graphics available in a variety of colors, supposedly in 3M exterior grade vinyl. I ordered a red one, it was maybe $5 with free shipping and no Porsche Tax. Unfortunately I don't remember who the vendor was.

Also, a good local sign shop can make one for you using a photocopy of the plastic GT3 emblem.

The vinyl graphic version is a heck of a lot easier to clean and polish around than the OEM plastic ones.

I ordered a few red vinyle ones from CarreraDecals.com. A Rennlister PM'd me the details. I also ordered a red OEM emblem from Bumper Plugs. Nice to have options.

FYI, this is another very good site for Motorsports decals. I just got a set of 2010 RS decals from them. He sent doubles of everything. Font looks perfect, good quality vinyl. He can produce any colors as well..

Mr. Adair, thxs for the tip with acromann site... quick question, did you order the standard (6in) size? If so, did you find it to be similar in height to the stock decklid emblem?

I recently did a bit of paint restoration work on my car and in the process I had to remove my factory emblem to properly polish the rear deck. I'm not anxious to buy a new emblem for $132 only to have it in the way every time I wash and wax my car.

A vinyl GT3 graphic solves that problem and is a fraction of the cost. And they don't break when you get a little too exuberant waxing or drying around the plastic one.

The 997 GT3 RS came with vinyl graphics, including the one on the decklid.

Sure. Used the raised emblem on my 991 GT3 since it came that way from the factory. Used the flat decal on the RS since it came that way. The flat GT3 RS decal from Acromann came as a set. Not a single decal. That said, I have doubles in red. I can
measure and send you one if you like?

That makes sense to use the form factor that came w/ the car. I'll likely buy a new black factory raised emblem for my 997.1GT3 to put on the shelf for my wife to offer the new owner after I die in 40yrs or so. But for living with day to day, I think it'd be easier to have the flat decal on my car. I was just curious if the size from Acromann is roughly the same size as the factory deck decal. If you could do a rough comparison when you get a chance I'd appreciate it.
