Laguna Seca - Sound Limits
Looking into an upcoming track day at Laguna Seca. Anyone know if a .1 GT3 with GMG center-section exhaust will pass a 90db limit?

Even stock exhaust won't pass when it use to be 92 db. You need turndowns. There's a plug mod to prevent full open on stock exhaust but don't think that will work plus you'll lose some hp. Mike

I've passed sound at Laguna with GMG center muffler and exhaust valves closed in the past. As mentioned above, you lose a bit of power and it's not exactly good for the car given the added heat from running the valves closed.
Best bet is to contact Alecshop and get their GPS box and turndown pipes to pass sound at Laguna.

I wouldn't bother w LS. no fun w turn pipes- worrying that they come lose and hit your bumper. saw that happened repeattetly to a 997 cup car 2 weeks ago :/
thankfully I was tracking Smart Fortwo / hanging out.

combination of turn down (left) and the GPS box works on the 997 and 991 GT3s. On a hot day I'd worry running valves closed all day.
Oddly, my E46 M3 with full exhaust system passes he 90DB all day.
