Question 997.1 GT3 Pricing

What recommendations do people have regarding pricing on a 997.1 GT3 with ~34k miles? It is the white one for sale on Rennlist in the Nashville area.

Looking for sources of comparable vehicle sale prices if such a resource exists for something so rare as a GT3.

TIA.

I think with that mileage, the "norm" would be about 95k asking. Obviously there is some wiggle room and I think the market has slowed down a bit with the 991.2 GT3 being available in manual.

I think you're probably on the money with your estimate.

I do think you'll find that the 991.2, even with the manual, is going to be a very different car and that there will be an avid following for the 997's for a very long time. It's just a different breed.

Not saying that just because I own one, I just haven't felt the passion for the 991 even though they pass me on the track.

I too am in the market for my first 997.1 GT3, specifically in Carrera white or Blue. Not sure how to approach a seller/business with offers. I wonder how much KBB and condition drives the value of these cars?

KBB has no relevance with these cars. Condition matters most.
Market will be all over the map for many reasons, and hard to gauge because supply is low.

easy, just send them your offers, if they like it they'll sell. depends on how long its been sitting/how desperate they are.

it's a buyers market to an extent with the newer manual offerings coming online.

I agree with you BartN on all fronts, it's just I think the 997 GT3's will decline a bit before exploding again in a few years time like the air cooled Porsches. With the manuals being introduced again for the GT cars, the hype of the dying sticks have slowed, but what will make the 997 generation appreciate is obviously the Mezger engine. IMO the floor on the GT3s will be ~80-85k for .1 and 90-95k for .2's until the up swing will hit us again in about 5-6 years time minimum.

LOL at people thinking 991.2 manuals with hard to get allocations and 20K+ mark ups on top of 160-180 MSRP will affect 80-120k 997 Gt3's.

OP the only way to know is to put your offer in and go from there.
I agree the market has slowed down for the 997. I don't see many moving at the current asking. The only one being snapped quickly are unicorns or those priced lower than usual.

Obviously the 997s won't be showing effects immediate but gradually. The RS's have already started coming down. .2s were going for 200k, while .1 were going for 170k not too long ago. Now there are handful of . 2s that are going for 170 and I've seen some as low as 155-160k that have still been sitting around for over a month. .1s RS's are about 150-160.

It will be nice to see the market normalize a little bit. These are special cars, but the prices went to a place that was rather absurd.

All things are cyclical and we are over due for a real estate, stock and big boy toy market to correct. Always has and always will.

This^^

Too many other good cars for much better value nowadays. The 997 will always be a sought after classic, but the prices for GT badged 997's have been in the silly realm for too long. I remember shopping a low mileage 07 GT3 back in 2012 that was sitting at $77k at a dealer. Clean with 17k miles, and even then I thought it was overpriced for what it was. GT3's have an overhyped mythical presence, at the end of the day they're exceptionally great cars, but they're not as good as today's bloated price of admission may indicate. I also remember when you couldn't give away a 997 GT2 for anything less than $130k.....now they're $100k above that. GT prices got stupid. Time to return to normal.
