Sorry I should have followed up on this, I took it into the Porsche dealership and they sorted it out. They said that for some reason the car thought it was a right hand drive and this caused all the confusion, they changed the setting back to left hand drive and all the problems disappeared.

I think I got off lucky, and they only charged me an hour.
