If you're looking for more "value" threads, check out the 991 GT3/RS Board. Totally overwhelms most other informational threads

I'm wondering if you did a Euro delivery on a 991.2GT3 if you could obviate the $20-30k premium over MSRP. The dealerships love to have the price bid up claiming they only get so many allocations. However, a Euro delivery doesn't affect their allocation. Anybody know?

The 6 speed price trend is leveling out in other cars now, like Lambos, R8s, and even Ferraris, mileage is going cost you in sales price more than the uniqueness of your GT3 is going to give you in future pricing.

That's not true with Porsche. With BMW, yes they have an allocation system outside the dealer for the EDs as I always heard. But with Porsche GT allocations are not replaced with another GT allocation after a euro delivery. Just not enough to go around for that. The dealer will get another allocation to replace it but it'll be a Turbo or a GTS for example.

If you would have asked me 2 months ago I would have agreed to keep your 997. I have an opportunity to buy a 997.2 RS right now for 50k cheaper than I could have imagined. If you would have asked me a few months ago I would have sent a deposit sight unseen because the car is 50k underpriced. Just turned it down because for the same money I can get a 991.2 gt3 with more options, power, features, 7 years newer and a warranty.

More options, features, Newer and warranty don't matter to many here.

997.2 rs is a brutal car. If you really care about the aforementioned things it's not for you.

As much as I love the 997 chassi I will wait to comment until I've driven the 991.2gt3 with MT.
It seems like a sweet package.

I'm in the market for a 997 gt3 right now, but i'm waiting till October till i actually buy one. Main reason is because that's when orders begin for the 991.2 gt3 manuals. I say try to sell it now because i do see more and more 997 gt3's on the market as it gets closer and closer to the order date for the 991 gt3 manuals.
