This Porsche stuff is stupid crazy.

@mooty - it's been pulled from AutoTrader so I suspect it sold. The dealer promised to call me the day of the PPI if the buyer passed. No call, and we all know dealers always do what they promise...

Mine doesn't have average miles (59k when I bought, 65k now), but I still think I may be the only person ever to buy a 1 owner, clean title .2 RS for under 6 figures. That was in May of 2013. I'm never planning to sell the car.

I put in a full price offer shortly after it was listed, like most people here, it was "pending PPI" with another buyer.

I love the 911R gearbox but the clutch pedal is lighter and feels softer. Two best 911 boxes, but the 997RS is best.
Agreed on 997 RS box.

isnt 997.2 GT3 and 997.2 RS same gearbox?

991.2 GT3 manual will be no comparison to 997 GT3, not only because the gearbox.

Pros 997: hydraulic steering, best gearbox, no RWS, more feel/engaging, more mechanical, classic 911 shape

Nope. Shorter.

There is a lot more content that the .2 rs has over the .2 gt3 variant vs the .1 gt3 to .1 rs jump with is minor.

counterpoint: the steering in 991 is actually really reallhy good and i dont feel my 7RS any more senstive in steering feel vs my 991RS

gearbox, tricky. the 7 box is notchy and PIA. but satisfying in a strange way. love it.

RWS. i liek it. it does magic

all good

Agree^

Very short but with that nice rifle bolt feel. For really fast track shifting I prefer the more sloppy and longer feel of previous models (996 gt3)

But the feel of the 997rs shifter is amazing.
I run CAE in my trackcar and has even more notchy and precise feel. I would say I shift slower but the feel and esthetics makes up for the slightly slower shifts.

Just my $0.02
