Default LED rear tail lights >>

Hey guys,

What is the concensus on these?

I have broken tabs on one of my rear lights and rather than repair or replace OEM, I'd like to try the LEDs. Anyone have luck with one brand vs. another? Show me photos if you have any!

Andrew

I had one of the first set of dectane LED tail lights on my 996 and they looked great and never had any issues.

Hoping to get them for my gt3

There two types.. The one you listed and other ones that look more OEM. I like the ones that look more OEM. I used the more OEM ones on my silver Carrera S and they looked great to me. Tried them on the Gt3 in guards red and it looked ricey. On other colors it may work, but kept mine stock. You will probably not get positive replies, but do what you want. It's your car

I am looking at getting some as well. I ordered these cause I like the light bars instead of the little bulbs as new cars are going this route. Not sure if I am going to like them cause they dont look good but only at night. I will install them this weekend and post pics.

Everyone has their preference. LED Tails can look ricey. It all depends on the car and color IMO. But go with Dectane/Depo, they are the most "OEM Looking"

Thanks guys! Appreciate the input. I understand that the ones I posted cheapen the look of the GT3. Any more photos you can post with the make/URL of the LEDs you purchased would be great!

The Dectane updates the look yet remain OEM in appearance. You can always swap them back out and sell them.

I did the ones you liked after putting them on and the SpecD ones as well. Too much clear lens on the specd but the light bars look AWESOME at night instead of old school LED now. THe light smoke they have look great on Black. So I went with the ones you like. See my pics below of before and after.

On a "regular" Carrera they look ok but on a GT3 they look very ricy and wrong, especially on a MK1.
