Default DME Data Question

I'm looking at a GT3 DME report and it shows 15 in range 1 and 0 in all the other ranges.
It also shows Operating counter hours at Overspeed in Range 1 is 1158.400h. Zero of course in the other ranges.
A couple of questions:
1) generally, does this sound like a good report
2) what does the 1158 really mean?

thanks

yes.

1) range 1 is no biggie. i would be concerned with range 3 (although the more experienced owners here would not be concerned) and range 4 is a no go.

2) 1158 is the last time that a Range 1 rev event occurred. So if the total engine hours is 1159. then that rev event occurred 1 hr ago. since Range 1 revs are a non-issue, the last timestamp of said occurence is irrelevant, imho.

That is nothing. Range 1 has no significance. It does not affect the warranty either. Besides, 15 means only 15 sparks of the plugs in that range. That is not even a few milliseconds. It is a great DME report. Only rages 3 and up are worthy of looking into. Range 6 is virtually engine seconds away from blowing up.

FWIW, my shop has a car in that had range 3 revs in the DME that had some damage internally. HOWEVER, the engine builder thinks it may be due to a spin where the clutch didn't get in and motor spun backwards OR stopped very quickly. The internal damage was MINOR (maybe a $150 part?), however fixing it means head has to come off.
