Default Upgrade Delta 997.2 GT3 to 997.2 RS

I have an opportunity to "trade up" to a 2011 GT3 RS with similar miles, options, and overall condition. Any thoughts on what folks think a reasonable price delta should be? As in my car, plus $XXXX? Any thoughts on the wisdom / benefits of the swap?

Thank you for your thoughts.

if it was me, I will proceed if delta is within $50K, but I think the actual delta here may be more. Good luck!

what's the intended use?

if gonna be tracking, even moderately, >5-6 times a season, the delta of the RS is worthwhile IMHO.

if just street drives, garage queen, or cars&coffee car, i don't think the RS will be THAT much of a noticeable upgrade.

of course, your wallet will dictate what "worthwhile" means.

that said, i think a GT3 + 50-60k is a good place to start.

40-65k $
I think a RS is much more miles sensitive than your normal GT3.

The RS has almost 19,000, my car just rolled by 14,000. The proposed delta is about $55K. So sounds like its in line with expectations. Options are similar, only real difference is full leather in my car and not in the RS and my GT3 has no trace time yet (just got it a month ago) and the RS has been on the track as one would expect.

Thank you for the thoughts.

My delta was slightly south of 50k.
997.2 GT3 CS with CGT seats, 25k miles, pack chrono, audio plus, nav, alcantara lining.
997.2 RS, GT2 seats, 10k miles, same options + lift, cornering lights, sat radio and some other stuff like garage opener. Car also came with the Porsche approved warranty which proved a nice plus since the lift stoped working.

Judges are still out to decide whether it was worthwhile.
50k is a lot for essentially the same car. I recall an evo or autocar.co.uk journalist pondering whether the original 12k premium for the RS was worth it...that was Ytube video.

Why did I do it? I see a 997.2 GT3 staying around me for a (long) while. RS seemed the one to have.

What I miss: The CGT seats, knowing the cam bolt won't back out.
Bothers me: The rattling noise of the lwfw on slow back roads were I used to enjoy the undisturbed engine noise of the vanilla GT3. I actually liked the non RS noise better, both with stock exhaust.

Trade was spring this year.

But we are just big kids with more expensive toys. If it hitches, go for it. Resistance is vain as mentioned multiple times on this forum

Don't hesitate. The improvement is significant in all aspects, except in your case, the leather interior

Man 55k is a good chunk of change, but the RS will probably hold value well later.

Seems the consensus the RS is easily worth $50k over the 997.2.

However, is the 997.1RS worth the same premium over the standard car? Doesn't seem to me the .1RS has anywhere the improvements the .2 version does.

Thoughts?
