Need more insight on LSD disc packs...
I've searched through history, yet still struggling to obtain details. My 997.2 GT3 is at the dealer to have a gearbox issue addressed under warranty. While the gearbox is out, I'd like to have the LSD looked after. Most miles are on the road, and in the rain as well. Some track use, maybe 4x annual private track use.
The dealer indicated that Porsche motorsports LSD clutch discs were okay for
warranty. Questions:
1. Can the Motorsport disc pack be used with existing 28/40 ramps. Do I have a longevity benefit in doing so?
2. Is there a Mosport option to change ramps?
3. What preload does the Mosport disc pack provide? Options on order of discs to setup differently?
4. Specific part numbers?
i know it's been beaten to death, just can't find this specific Mosport detail.
Many thanks,
Dan
