Default 991 R Stripes on 997 GT3

Hi guys,

What are your thoughts on putting R stripes on a 997 GT3?

I've looked for pictures but no hits so I'm not sure it has been done.

Cheers

Geoff

Not IMO,

I don't even like them on the R. Looks way better without stickers.

I would never do it. Seem kind of poserish to me. The car is what it is. And it is not a R.

But to each his own. You can always rip it off.

Read this: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...er-photos.html

Then make the car like you want it yourself.

^ I understand you're asking for opinions. So here's mine; if YOU like them then who gives a **** what others think. It's your car, your money, and both up to you how you spend and enjoy them.

Go for it!

Do what you like is my first thought. But you wouldn't have asked if you didn't want opinions. My opinion is putting different era/model decals on a car is worse than just putting something "original" on it. My vote is either keep it OE or do something semi-original. I personally don't like throwing decals from a related car that is a gen up or down from the actual car. But, clearly, based on the number of 997 RS decals on 991 RS cars, I'm in the minority.

Hi guys,

I was just curious how they would look on a 997 and hoped to see a picture.

Happy how my car looks at the moment.

Thanks for the replies 👍
