You should not lock it up for the winter, 1500 miles a year the poor thing....
I'll store it for you in Palm Beach and you fly in and out..

AC alarmed warehouse adjacent to I95.

Homestead 1.5 hours
Sebring 2 hours
Daytona 3 hours
PBIR 30 minutes
Roebling Road 5 hours

Detail, refuel and service between events no problem.
Tendered and tire pressures checked.

I have a heated garage. Is a tarp underneath the car really necessary? Garage temp in mid 60s in the winter.

I don't think you need the tarp. I also have a heated garage and an epoxy floor. I think the epoxy floor assists more than the heated environment. Years ago when I had neither, I used a thick mill painter's tarp.
