With awd you are stuck with the 315 in the rear as you need the rear to be slightly shorter than the front. The 315s are just not a great choice as the load rating sux compared to the 305 or 335. That's why it feels so squishy compared to the 305 or 335. Once you get over 35psi they will get greasy. Best advice is to rip out the awd, add an lsd and run the 305 with a 245 front.
This is all street driving, so I can't really say I feel the squish- just know it's happening due to wear. Not sure the tires will get greasy on canyon roads, so I may increase pressure a tad.
