Nitto NT-01 315/18 on 12 inch rim?
Have any of you run the 315/18 NT-01 on a 12 inch wide rim? Nitto recommendations are for up to 11.5. Just curious if you guys think the extra half inch would be OK. I do not want to go to the 335.
Thanks

I'm running them right now (WB GTS if that matters). CCW C14 18x12 w/ Nitto NT01 315/35/ZR18.
They work great and fit great

Here's a quick pic I took a couple weeks ago... while falling over apparently.
You can see the fitment here though.

For another data point, the stock wheels on a 991 GT3 are 12" and they come from the factory with 305's (even though the tire specs say 11.5" is maximum).

Three Wheelin'
Anyone know what the actual widest width a 315 can fit? Is 12 the limit or can it be 12.5-13? Don't want to have the "hellaflush" ricer look, but want to maximize the contact patch... Also trying to avoid 335s.

I'd say 12" is widest you'd want a 315 to go on...don't think there's any possible contact patch to be gained going further wide

315/30 use 11-12"
305/35 use 11-12"
335/30 use 12.5-13"
I've run 20+ sets of these tires. The 315s were my least favorite. The 305 on a 12" is a great choice, far superior to the short 315. I would not do a 335 NT01 on a 12 as it's crazy pinched. Always best to use the widest wheel you can per given tire size. Stretching the bead a bit will stiffen the tire a bit and sharpen up the steering response while maximizing the contact patch.

For NT01s:
315/30 use 11-12"
305/35 use 11-12"
335/30 use 12.5-13"

I don't want to move to a 305 if the diameter is too different than the 235 front. And I don't want to move to a different front tire as I don't have GT2 fender liners.
My next step is to increase pressure in the rear, see of that helps.

What would you run on a 996tt that's still AWD? I am on GT2 sized NT01s, and I notice the 315 does roll over a lot- wearing the outside edge of the tire.
