Default 997.2 Rotors

Can we revisit this topic?

I think some people are running Bremo / Giro / and OEM

What have you seen for length of life for each?

Can you reuse the drive pins on oem rotor and pin sets?

My cracks are starting to open up on my fronts for the Brembos so its time to get new set of something.

Use is 90% street / 10% track

Thanks

Post pic of brembo rotors. You should be able to run these until the grooves are gone.
What pads?

I'm on type 5 fronts not and literally they look new after 11 days. Last set of type 3 lasted nearly 30 days and still had life in them I just pulled to keep as spares

I run re10 pads which cost a little more but last a long time. About 2x what I saw from pcc 08

I may have a used set of rings that still have life in them. Brembo suggests replacing hardware each time. Unknown for me on drive pins I don't have those.

I've reused the drive pins on my rotors once and i've had no problems with them. I've checked them everytime I swap tires just to make sure there is no abnormal wear (see the centerlock removal guide on rennlist). I plan on changing them with my next rotor swap.

I'm running the slotted PFC rotors with the matching 08 pads up front. I have gotten about 12 tracks days before the cracks got too big. I believe the pads are impacting the lifespan of the rotor more than the rotor. I've heard the ferodo pads are much easier on the rotors, which is what I just purchased for the rear with OEM turbo rotors..
Good luck

Do the PFCs wear alittle better or more durable than the Giro discs? I know they are more expensive, which I don't mind paying if there are clear performance/value advantages.

I have a set of slightly used but in very good shape GiroDisc rotors (front + rear) that I'd like to sell: $1200 + shipping. Anyone interested let me know.

I've tried a bunch of combos. Pfc08 pads beat the **** out of rotors. And squeal like a school bus.
Endless ma45b and re10 much much easier on rotors. Much. at least that is my experience. And quiet.
