1) does anyone smart know the law about kids in the front? I tried to look it up but came up inconclusive.
2) sensor. Isn't it just weight dependent? 80 or 100lbs or something? Below that you are good. Not sure why you would need a programmer.
3) seats. I am surprised to see the seats fitting in the buckets. I have tried a few on the regular sport seats and they squish the lower side bolsters. (I.e. The booster is too wide) anyone had success in the reg sport non buckets?
You can also add the airbag on / off switch that came on all other 997's. I did that on mine, and it works great. Factory part; it cost about $500 for part/labor/programming at the dealer. It also included anchors for the LATCH system. My kids love riding; they ask every weekend!

I'm in BC, Canada. But here kids can sit in the front anytime as long as in the correct seat [booster, child, etc] for their weight/age group. However, rear facing infant seats need to have the air bag deactivated.
The government can discriminate against working single dad's that only have one car [lets say a McLaren P1] and need to drive their kid to daycare.
