The metal joints will have play after so many hours subjected to load. If you run rubber bushing they won't have play, the car will just move around a lot until the rubber breaks.

Every time the car is in the air grab the wheel at 9-3 and 12-6 and feel for play. Every time.
Monoballs allow this to be checked easier than rubber you can feel the play.
