Had another 4AM Saturday start time got back 2PM and had some parts sitting from Suncoast and figured I put them on since I was too tired to drive.
-Replace hood strut/shocks
-Change plastic gas cap for more expensive plastic gas cap
-Install Suncoast Interior LED kit, all of the footwell and glovebox LED fixtures had LED bulbs that had broken solder joints, re-soldered.
-Pulled airbox to install new filter and decided to clean under and the airbox itself. I could not find the thread where everyone was posting pics of airbox removal/clean

Congrats on buying your old car back. Such a great looking example and I'm sure it drives amazing with the SW3.9. The airbox cleaning pics were in the GT3 Picture thread (not the RS one). I decided to do a bit of detailing, "while I was in there" replacing my air filter, which then turned into replacing a wire clip that was broken and all of the airbox securing grommets into the chassis. Figure I may as well get the parts while I can.
Curious, do you prefer the CGT or GT2 buckets? The CGT buckets sit lower (slightly) and for me at 6'5", I need that. GT2 buckets sit too high. But, I am just enjoying my standard sport seats. I have often thought about getting thinner foam for a set of GT2 buckets along with the lowering brackets and trying that setup, but just not willing to risk the $10k+ for a seat option that may not work.

Thanks, a couple months after I sold it I realized that was a mistake and did give quite a few extras with the sale that I also came back with it. SW3.9 is amazing, lumpy idle and power on demand.
I do prefer the CGT buckets, I am broad shouldered and have to settle into them where as the GT2 buckets is more of a slip fit. The CGT buckets are slightly more comfortable and do sit lower, the factory brackets have two height adjustment holes as well. However with no sunroof you do gain a couple inches of headroom for the GT2 buckets work.
I chose to go with folding GT2 buckets to give me more access to the rear. Once my bolster protectors show up I will install these new buckets and will put the old ones up for sale.

Please let us know which bolster protectors you picked. I am interested in getting a pair for my OEM seats in the .2 RS. They presently look brand new but I am always worried I am going to ruin them one day when I am absentminded and careless.
Enjoy the new GT2 seats.
Best,
Raghu

Exclusive Option IMHO are the best looking and fitting bolster protectors out there, the price reflects that though. Here are some in my .2

My son left for the Navy (got into the nuclear program!) this morning so a couple days ago I let him enjoy the power of the 3.9 on Bilstein Clubsport suspension. He has a 2007 Cayman S so he does have some 6 speed seat time, he described it as 'another level, everything is just so responsive'
Now I have to figure out what to do with his Cayman...
