Doable but not for the faint of heart. The needles are a pita to remove. If you mess up the replacement cluster will run you $3500 + coding...

Try giving Hartmut at Palo Alto Speedometer a call.

I have done it a couple of times in fact, because I messed up the first time I did this and was to brutal with one needle and broke the small servo housing trying to fix it. It's actually not to difficult as long as you are very careful and follow the instructions to the point. The hard, or most important part, is removing the needles. They have to be pulled straight up without much side movement. Protecting the gauge face and using small forks or something similar to push up from under the centre of the needle solves that issue quite nicely. Using two plastic forks where the teeth has been broken off (or something similar) from opposite sides of each needle gives stable upwards and no sideways pressure when popping the needles up.

Here is the DIY instruction: http://www.planet-9.com/planet-9-art...faceplate.html

Thanks guys! Which company supplies the best quality faces? I was thinking all white and the tach yellow.

Is REAP Automotive Design any good? I saw the FVD, but want to keep the GT3 logo...

Default Replacing gauge faces with yellow!

I am strongly considering replacing the stock gray/black gauge faces on my GT3 with yellow ones to complement the exterior color of my car.

My plan is to buy a used gauge set off of eBay so that my original gauges remain unharmed.

Buy the yellow faces from FVD.

What, if anything, will I need reprogram to make the new gauges work?

Anyone have any thoughts on where to send the gauges and face plates for the replacement? I have seen the instructions and it is not impossible, but rather nerve wracking and I would rather not mess it up.

Finally, it is a bummer that the FVD gauge plates do not have the GT3 logo. Does anyone make a good quality set with the logo?

Thanks!

Good luck with your project but just a thought for the logo... You could have it printed in vinyl and apply it yourself. Easy DIY with a vinyl printer or I'm sure you can source these from a hobbyist who could make them.

I think if you call FVD they can make one with the GT3 logo on it. It's just not on the website.
