Not sure if this is still available, but it looks great in the pics. It's not quite in your price range, but maybe you can work it down some. I haven't seen any 997 GT2s much under 200k these days. This dealer is local to me, I've had my Porsches serviced there. So far all positive experiences.

I keep an eye on all GT2's and own 4 now - one of each model, so for an amateur privateer I stay somewhat current. GT2's other than the 993 are still hard to sell...
Blacklabel, there is one for sale at Chicago Motor Cars. It has been sitting there for a long time. I do not know the car or the dealer, and the car maybe great; I don't know:

You should ask Russ Blahteka (sp?) at Westmont Porsche to PPI this car for you.
However, you may want to track down your old one. The hunt is more fun...

I agree that many are at/around 200K. That budget may be tough and that one in Chicago looks the most likely to get there.
I love my GT2. I just don't drive it much. I feel bad. I think out of all my cars it would be the one I would sell. I like the GT3 better. Didn't have it when I bought the GT2.
I think after writing this I am going to spin around in the GT2 all next weekend

They are so different. The GT3 is much more raw and provides better road feel. The higher revving engine is loud and feisty. The GT3 feels lighter even if its not.
The GT2 just feels like its always ripping from the rear wheels. It is much faster than the GT3 when your pushing it and not nearly as loud. I always feel like the rear is more eager to slip on me in the GT2 and when the turbo puts down the power it is surreal as it just hits hard. My 09 interior is much better than the 07 and the buckets make a big difference in comfort and driving ergonomics. The GT2 is much more refined to me overall. It has solid road feel, but the GT3 seems to feel a bit more. Oh The launch mode in the GT2 is fun!

Mine always seems to get a good share of attention and pics at shows. Its not the same sort of general crowd that might flock around an orange Lambo but more of a car-savvy cult that know what it is. They seem to always be accompanied with a buddy as they point at and discuss the air intakes, wing, brakes, front aero, wide tires, etc. A lot fewer baby strollers....I like it that way. :-) Bear in mind that some of the 2's that have been on the market for a while may be a little "rough" which is likely holding up a sale.

What do you mean by saying "rough"? Do you mean they are "worn out"?
Thanks

Not worn out by any stretch - very tough cars. Just saying that some have had a rougher life than others - which upon inspection could be holding up sales of some if asking is at a premium. That's all.

Thanks a lot, now I understand what you mean and agree with you. Know one GT2 in my country that was totally crashed and now rebuilt is holding up sale despite low price... I guess mileage especially on track and track history if any would be some indicators on how tough the car is.
