Chuck did really runs those 904 very hard.
I used to own a Beck Spyder x 10 years w 2160cc engine with T04 turbo. that's was very, very FAST drive.

Thanks for posting. Enjoyed the podcast too. Comments about the Mezger and the newer Porsche reaffirms my intentions on keeping my 997 GT3!

Thanks for sharing your story. Another 2nd motor GT3 guy here, although I went with a 3.8 cup (to the heads) engine as a replacement. Coincidentally, mine went at 50,XXX miles as well (#4 connecting rod failure) and was a well-tracked car. Seems to be that if you use these at the track, a 50K mile rebuild could be the order.

Much to my surprise, I went to a car gathering a month or so ago and there was a 3.9 there. A relo from California, great guy, just got a GT2. Way cool we have a local 3.9.
