Default 997 GT3 RS pricing

Gang,

I will be honest that I am pretty unfamiliar with the 997 GT3 RS pricing and have not really seen many for sale in the vehicle marketplace. I figured I'd see if anyone would weigh in on the price of this one -

I think it's high but...even eBay doesn't really have many examples. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Mooty - sorry about the link, first time I've posted from mobile. Thanks a ton for the info. It's a grey/red RS 2011 with just over 10000 miles, CPO. They want 190 for it and I thought it was high per my gut feeling. Was thinking your ranges seemed much better but wanted to hear someone who know their **** comment on it.

I have been thinking of a 991 gt3 or a 997 gt3 RS while I wait for my 991 GT3 RS, so it's been a lot of back and forth.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

have you asked them the history of the car?

This is what I would recommend you ask them:

1. hows the paint on the body? Asked for rock chipssss.
2. Hows the bolster on the driver side? Send you pics.
3. Do they have service records?

Then decide if 190 is right for it.

I traded my 991 GT3 back to a 997.2 RS so if a 991 GT3 is good for you, why waste your time and headache looking for a 997 RS.

If you get a good 997.2 RS, you may change your mind to trade it to a 991 RS. You may get bad dreams and advised to keep it instead.

So if you are really waiting for a 991 RS, just get a 991 GT3, it would be an easy decision. 997.2 to a 991 RS, easier to get a divorce than to do the latter.

Oh right now that I am an owner. It's impossible to find a good one under 200k and they are all worth 250

If you have the means, most likely your time is better spent buying and enjoying. Agonizing is well, agonizing. Whatever you choose will be rewarding to drive, however a 997.2 RS is sublime.

Haha, that MT in the 997.2 RS...very nice...so tempting...plus that grey look with the red wheels, I love it.

I always agonize about this crap...such an idiot. Wish I was more financially able and I wouldn't have this problem of limited supply (money) for my demand, or more, my want of a GT3 RS.

Many thanks for the opinions. I was sure some people had been in my shoes and went one way or the other. The only think I know for sure is I am not getting a 991 TTS while I wait. I can only see myself getting a TTS down the road if I end up not liking the 991.2 GT3 RS.

The biggest reason Ive been looking at GT3s (and randomly found that 997.2 GT3 RS) was because I was looking for a car I can try to break even on if the dealer calls me in a year or so. I can always dream about getting an allocation that fast, right...

That beach wood rs has an interesting carfax. No accidents but lots of issues with the drivetrain. Engine has been out at least 2 times

Very interesting...I don't think I'll be grabbing that vehicle. Thanks for the heads up, jvmax.

abcut - I just wanted to say I always thought the black series always looked badass...nice avatar.

Love these forums. Been posting in here for a short period but everyone has been damn helpful. I wish I would have posted more in here before buying my first Porsche, a 16' C2S that I ordered from the factory.

I ended up selling it recently because I just wasn't all that thrilled with it...discovered later that if I had got a TTS, I would have been thrilled while I waited for a GT3 RS.

^ no, if u had TTS, you will lose lots in dep'n
the money you lose on TT or TTS, just use that and pay the permium on the GT3RS.
you will be WAY happier
