Aren't those available from PCNA?

You can also get them here:

My question is around how much noise do they introduce to the cabin. Most everyone that has them are on fully stripped cup cars, so since that 4.0 isn't stripped wanted to get an idea

What about rain?

Lexan also scratches and looks like crap fairly quickly

I don't drive my car in the rain. Also my plan was to put clearplex like i have on my windshield on the outside to prevent scratches

If I do get caught in the rain some blue painters tape over the vents will suffice enough to get home.

I would never put those windows on a street driven car.

Because of the noise? Or for what reasons?

likely personal preference. it's more that you can't seal your interior from the elements outside, rain, dust, vandals etc.

are you getting it for the looks or weight savings?

Yes, basically because of that. And because the weight savings or looks do not outweigh the disadvantages of having slits on the rear windows.

My racecar eats lexan - it's also easy to scratch or get hazy - not a show car modification IMO Tye

I know Porsche created the vents to help with aero and direct the air flow around the wing so that doesn't hurt, but I know I'm not at a driver level where I'll probably notice that difference.

The Porsche Motorsport lexan is not hard coated at all, hence why it's very prone to scratches and hazing. There are companies that make these vented lexan windows (the company linked above) with a hard coating that protects against scratching and hazing

The UV's cause most of the hazing/opaquedness to the Lexan. I think clear/film would help if it could filter out the UV. Only way to try it is to "go for what u know"...Lexan is very soft, GE used to make a hardened Lexan. Not sure if they still do.

Hot Rod Glass in Monterey makes the acrylic windshields in the high end show car world, many of which end up getting drivin, its a great product imo, no wipers though...
