Default Info on White 2007 GT3 - Katy, Tx

Seller represents as garage queen with 11k mi... Asking 102,000

Pics and research suggests car has seen some track time.
More importantly no service records since 2013 at Momentum Porsche
Im well versed in track usage but looking for an unabused example...
Likely used at COTA in the past yr or 2...
Anybody out there know this car and its history???
Seller states he's not on Rennlist, can't heel n toe and yet he's raced motorcycles?? Kinda funny! Thanks in advance for any feedback.
See pics below..

Saw that car on autotrader.
Did you ask the owner for service history?
If you like the car just do a PPI and you'll know. GL

Porsche service history stops in 2013. Inspection is pending.. Techs typically only give general mechanical condition not number of track days, wear on trans or diff etc.

Inquiring if anybody knows this car, the seller or from the track? Car has been in the Houston area the last nine yrs..

not sure how you can tell if a car has been tracked or not. maybe the tires - but those can be changed, same with the rotors, any decent track usage would reveal some cracks. otherwise i'm not aware of other methods of determining track usage...

Never seen this car at COTA, who cares if it's been tracked as long as it was not damaged and maintenance was done, just get a PPI.

I don't think a white GT3 is remarkable enough to determine if it was at COTA or any other track. The lack of maintenance records would be of greatest concern. It's been said plenty of times before: buy the seller, not the car.

Slipper clutches on a race bike (well...now most street bikes too) mean you don't have to master the skill of rev matching.

...to clarify - seller played dumb when I asked if he could heel and toe. Found out about his motorcycle race expierence on his FB page.

After noticing the tires were were showing chunking up front the seller has finally admitted light light? track usage at COTA. it is not the garage queen claimed by the seller. A bigger concern was it has not been serviced at all since 2013 and about 4K miles. Today seller has agreed to return my deposit so it's available again..

Just too many sugar coated explanations on how the car was used and maintained so I'm not going to bother with an inspection.

My last 5 Porsches have seen heavy track use. Just looking for that unicorn to sit on and pamper as it slowly appreciates. Miss those days...

take off underpanels/wheel well liners. bound to be track rubber bits (and possibly gravel or grass from spin offs) stuck in those nooks and crannies if previous track usage. folks trying to cover up might forget about cleaning that telltale sign.

Funny thing is that if the seller had just said up front it's been lightly tracked but is in perfect shape you could've trusted him and the car would've have still been worth it.

I rarely see 997.1's at COTA when I go, it's usually a bunch of 991's or .2's or RS's. There are usually only 1 or maybe 2 per event in my experience.

Hmm, I was thinking the opposite. When I go it seems white 997.1's are a dime a dozen (relatively speaking). Maybe it's the groups we run with?

I wonder if people are starting to mothball the .1's now?
